Obama's Nuclear Scam

The Iranian nuclear deal is a total scam. A sham. A fraud. The Obama Administration has zero intention of enforcing it. Ever.

According to Reuters, a damning report is set to be released today by experts at the Institute for Science and International Security. These experts have previously called into question reports and statements by the International Atomic Energy Agency, which was charged with policing the deal.

Now the Institute alleges that the Obama Administration granted Iran certain "exemptions" from the terms of the deal. And, of course, they were kept secret.

Why on earth would we do that?

Here's how Reuters explains it:

"The United States and its negotiating partners agreed 'in secret' to allow Iran to evade some restrictions in last year's landmark nuclear agreement in order to meet the deadline for it to start getting relief from economic sanctions. . . [Without the] exemptions, some of Iran's nuclear facilities would not have been in compliance with the deal by Jan. 16, the deadline for the beginning of the lifting of sanctions."

So, if Iran doesn't meet its obligations -- let me rephrase that -- if Iran violates the terms of the deal, Obama just ignores it. But, he made darn sure we met our obligations and lifted the sanctions on schedule.

In other words, we legitimized Iranian cheating!

What was included in the exemptions? Again from Reuters:

"Among the exemptions were two that allowed Iran to exceed the deal's limits on how much low-enriched uranium (LEU) it can keep in its nuclear facilities, the report said. LEU can be purified into highly enriched, weapons-grade uranium. . . If the total amount of excess LEU Iran possesses is unknown, it is impossible to know how much weapons-grade uranium it could yield, experts said."

From the beginning, critics of Obama's deal with Iran said that it was never a "nuclear deal" intended to seriously restrict Iran's nuclear capabilities. It was always a sanctions relief deal, intended from the beginning to benefit the Iranian regime. These secret exemptions prove the point.

A president who was serious about holding Iran accountable would have simply said, "If you can't or won't fulfill your obligations, the sanctions remain in place. If you need more time, fine. But the sanctions remain in place. Period."

Sadly, Obama did not say that. And when the Iranians predictably failed to meet their obligations, Obama scrambled to give them cover with these so-called "exemptions."

And, as we reported yesterday, the regime has fully exploited the removal of the sanctions to deploy highly-sophisticated Russian anti-aircraft missile batteries at a key nuclear facility, buried in a mountain, which it assures us is purely for peaceful energy production.

Secret letters. Secret negotiations. Secret cash payments. Secret exemptions. A complete farce of a nuclear deal that grossly benefitted and enriched the world's leading state-sponsor of terrorism.

Is there ANYTHING Obama won't do to appease Iran?

About That Genocide. . .

Last march, after tireless efforts by dozens of Christian organizations and faith-based ministries, Secretary of State John Kerry finally acknowledged the obvious and called the attacks carried out by the Islamic State against Christians and other religious minorities what it really is -- genocide.

Christians in America and throughout the world, most especially in the Middle East, applauded as this meant that the Obama Administration finally recognized the true extent of what was taking place and would take action to stop it. In Kerry's words, "Naming these crimes is important. But what is essential is to stop them."

Well, it has been almost half a year since Secretary Kerry made his statement, and the administration has taken little to no action. Now it appears that the government may be trying to hide that fact.

Several weeks ago, the American Center for Law and Justice filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request simply seeking information on which State Department officials were tasked with addressing the issue and how they planned on providing relief. Incredibly, the State Department ignored the FOIA request.

So, the ACLJ filed a lawsuit this week seeking to force the department to reveal what -- if anything -- it is doing to prevent the slaughter of innocent Christians in the Middle East.

For example, the State Department was urged to make the genocide of Christians a topic at last month's U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. It wasn't brought up. Moreover, as we reported, Secretary Kerry implied earlier this week that the media should stop reporting on acts of terrorism.

Thousands of Christians are found dead in mass graves. Countless Christians are beheaded or crucified for their faith. Christian women and girls are being sold as sex slaves.

Six months ago, Secretary Kerry at least acknowledged that genocide was taking place. Now it seems that the Obama Administration just wants everyone to shut up about it.
